Bob Berkley, Manager of Reference Publications & MCNet at Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) released a statement to all MCNet subscribers regarding the Free Application for Federal Financial Student Aid. DANTES recommends only the U.S. Department of Education’s web site,, for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA). This site allows individuals to file an electronic application FREE.

DANTES found that the web sites, and, while not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education or the FAFSA on the web site, offer FAFSA filing for a fee.
