In an effort to prevent any form of piracy, the following security measures may be enforced at K-Bay Theater for Sneak Preview screenings at any time:

  • Bag checks
  • Confiscation of cameras or cell phones with video or picture taking capability (items will be returned after screening)
  • Magnetometer wanding
  • Audience scanning with night vision goggles during screening

Patrons will be admitted to Advance Screening movies in the following priority:

  • First Priority – Active duty members and their families assigned to duty aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Single active duty members will be allowed one guest.
  • Second Priority – Members of the Armed Forces from other bases and stations on Oahu, retirees and their families.
  • Third Priority – DoD civilians and other authorized guests.

One hour and 45 minutes prior to the movie, tickets will be issued to first priority patrons waiting in line. Tickets will be issued corresponding to priority group.

One hour and 30 minutes prior to the movie showing the doors will open and Active Duty (priority one) patrons with appropriate colored tickets will be admitted.

MCBH Run 4 Your Life Haunted Virtual Run

Join us for our Virtual Zombie Run by completing either the 4 mile challenge or the family friendly 2 mile option!

Join us for our Halloween themed Haunted virtual run taking place Friday, October 30!

This is a self-paced run/walk done on your own time in the location of your choosing. You can run anywhere you choose, no matter the time of day!

If you are participating from Marine Corps Base Hawaii, you will have the option of using our provided route to run away from Zombies in an interval based plan, and end at the base theater to receive your goodie bag!

This race is open to participants on Hawaii as well as the mainland. Unfortunately we cannot offer this race to international participants.

This Virtual run is CO Fitness Series points eligible as a part of the Commanders Cup. If you are an Active Duty Marine, please make sure you include your unit name in your registration.

Registration includes access to the MCBH Run 4 Your Life Virtual Zombie Run Strava Club Page, t shirt, and your custom medal. Packages will be available no more than 2 weeks following the race.

The first 30 to register will receive a FREE Run 4 Your Life face mask!

If you have access to MCBH and are able to pick up your packet (details including the date will be mailed out at a later date) then you may register for the packet pick up option. If you do not have MCBH base access or simply would like your package mailed, please select the mailed option.

Deadline to register for your t-shirt and medal is Thursday, October 29, 2020.

Finishers packets will be ready for pick up/mailed out no later than two weeks following the race. The race coordinator will be following up with all participants for additional details.

The Marina is open to Active-duty, Retirees, Dependents, & DoD Civilians. You must be an authorized patron to use our facility and will be required to show your DoD ID.

  • Retail and equipment rentals are open.
  • Ramps and piers are open for private boat owners.
  • Water sport rentals (kayaks and SUPs) are available.
  • The Unit PT program is available.
  • Power boats are now available for rent. The boat licensing class online (Part 1) and in-person (Part 2) have also resumed. You must hold a boat license from our Marina to rent boats here. Visit the Marina page at Boat Licensing to take the online test. See this PDF for our monthly specials.
  • Sandbar is open: all boats must maintain 20 ft. from other boats while anchored on sandbar.

Beach Lifeguard Hours:
Daily: 1100-1730

The North Beach, Pyramid Rock Beach, Hale Koa Beach, Pali Kilo Beach, and Ft. Hase Beach are all open 0700-1700 daily to all Active Duty, Dependents, Retirees and MCBH Civilians. Sitting on the beach is allowed but in groups of 10 people or less. Visit our Water Safety page!
Notice: Due to safety concerns, the North Beach access stairwell by Pond Road is closed.

Beach Flag Conditions

Follow the MCCS Hawaii Water Safety Facebook page for the most current beach flag conditions.

White Flag Condition: Water activities are open. Surf and currents are moderate.

Yellow Flag Condition: Water activities are open. Fins are required when swimming due to high surf or strong currents.

Red Flag Condition: Unsafe conditions. Water and beaches are closed.

Open to Active-duty and Dependents- families of no more than 10 people.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Patrons must wear long pants, shirt with sleeves (long or short sleeves OK), and closed-toe shoes. No slippers/flip flops, sleeveless shirts/tank tops, or loose clothing are to be worn.
  2. Patrons must provide proof of vehicle ownership such as a Vehicle Registration or Certificate of Title.
  3. Children under the age of 14 are permitted only in the customer service waiting area; they are not permitted in the vehicle workspaces.

Aloha Five-O Motors fans! We’re pleased to announce that effective immediately patrons may bring a friend to help them work on their vehicle! The rules have been updated as follows:

  1. A maximum of 2 people (the vehicle owner + 1 other person) will be allowed to work together on the same vehicle.
  2. The 2 patrons working on the same vehicle do not need to remain 6 feet apart.
  3. Social distancing from other patrons continues to be in effect.

The Single Marine & Sailor Program (SM&SP) is a highly-energized program designed to address and enhance the quality-of-life for Single Marines and Sailors in a measurable manner. This program accomplishes this by providing three core components:

Single Marine & Sailor Recreation Center

Camp Smith Recreation Center
Camp Smith Recreation Center features a movie theater, kitchen, games, free Wi-Fi, etc. The Center is open 24/7. Call 477-0808 for additional information. CURRENTLY CLOSED.

The SM&SP Council consists of representatives from each command. Each command representative is a liaison for the single Marines & Sailors of their unit in the following ways:

  • Collecting ideas, suggestions and quality of life issues from the Marines and Sailors and bringing this information to the council meetings
  • Reporting information about upcoming events and activities collected from the council meetings back to the command and the Marines and Sailors

Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1500 in Kahuna’s Sports Bar & Grill  (Bldg 1629). If you are your unit’s representative and cannot make the meeting, please send a replacement.
