Throughout the year, 13 races come together to make up the Commanding Officer’s Semper Fit Series. Run along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, up mountainous terrain, and even through swampy waters, the challenge is always new and exciting. Run one or run them all, it’s something you’ll never forget! The Commanding Officer’s Series is open to the public.
Keiki Koa Kai Sprint Triathlon
Saturday, May 2 @ 0700, MCBH Base Pool
This NEW and EXCITING children’s only triathlon will consist of 2 age divisions: 7 to 10 year olds and 11-14 year olds. This Keiki Triathlon will start at the Base Pool on Kaneohe Bay and will transition to bike then finish with the run. This race is open to the general public. Koa Kai Sprint Triathlon
Sunday, May 3 @ 0630, MCBH Hangar 103 Kaneohe Bay
Come join the Marines and Sailors of MCBH for the first triathlon of the year! Start your morning with a brisk 500 meter swim in beautiful Kaneohe Bay, followed by a fast paced 11.1 mile bike ride around the flightline of MCB Hawaii, finishing with a scenic 5K that ends at Hangar 101. This race is open to the general public.
Packet Pick-up: Packet pickup for civilians will be held at the Front Gate pass house of MCBH on Thursday, April 30th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and for military at the Semper Fit Center, Friday, May 1st from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race beginning at 5:00am. All civilian participants will receive a special event pass in their race packet. Surf & Turf 5K
Saturday, June 20 @ 0700, MCBH Officer’s Club, Building 502, Reeves Road Kaneohe Bay
Enjoy this exciting run along the beautiful beaches of Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Participants will have the rare opportunity to run along Pyramid and North Beach in this family friendly event. The race will start and finish across from at the Officer’s Club offering views of the Ko’olau Mountains and Kaneohe Bay. The race is open to the general public! Base Rules: Participants may need to register vehicles at the MCBH Front Gate (H3 entrance). Drivers may be required to present Driver’s License, vehicle registration, safety check and proof of insurance. Please obey all posted speed limits, and follow guidance. Driving Instructions: Enter MCB Hawaii through the H3 Front Gate. Follow special event signs which will direct you to event location and parking.
