Commanding Officer’s Fitness Series

Throughout the year, 13 races come together to make up the Commanding Officer’s Semper Fit Series. Run along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, up mountainous terrain, and even through swampy waters, the challenge is always new and exciting. Run one or run them all, it’s something you’ll never forget! The Commanding Officer’s Series is open to the public.

2017 Races

Turkey Trot 10K

7:00 am Saturday, November 4 • MCBH • Dewey Square Kaneohe Bay

Take a running tour of beautiful MCB Hawaii for our last race of the year! The Turkey Trot 10K starts and finishes at Dewey Square and offers to be both fun and challenging for all. There will also be a one-mile family fun run taking place after the 10K. No registration is required for the fun run. This race is open to the public. Online registrations closes, Tuesday, October 31 at 11:59pm. All civilians (Non-DoD) must register 5 days prior to the race. Click here for complete information and to register for this race.

Do you have what it takes to win the Hawaii Armed Forces Joint Race Series? Schofield Barracks, Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam join forces to create two separate 3-race running series in 2017!

First Series:

  • King of the Hill 5K at MCBH, January 21
  • Kolekole 10K at Schofield Barracks, March 11
  • Ford Island Bridge Run 10K at JBPHH, April 1

Second Series:

  • ARMY 10 Miler at Schofield, July 15
  • Hickam Half Marathon at JBPHH, August 19
  • Sunset Flightline 5K at MCBH, September 22 (this is a Friday evening race)

The TOP THREE MEN AND WOMEN to complete ALL 3 races in a series with the fastest times will be awarded the Fitness Series medal! Medals will also be awarded by Age Group, to the TOP man and woman who complete ALL 3 races with the fastest time. There are two separate series during 2017. Awards will be given out at the end of each 3-race series.

All DOD ID card holders and sponsored guest are eligible to enter.
MUST HAVE VALID DOD ID CARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SERIES AWARDS. (AD/FM/RET/RES/DOD)

Base Rules: Participants may need to register vehicles at the MCBH Front Gate (H3 entrance). Drivers may be required to present Driver’s License, vehicle registration, safety check and proof of   insurance. Please obey all posted speed limits, and follow guidance. Driving Instructions: Enter MCB Hawaii through the H3 Front Gate. Follow special event signs which will direct you to event location and parking.
