Throughout the year, 13 races come together to make up the Commanding Officer’s Semper Fit Series. Run along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, up mountainous terrain, and even through swampy waters, the challenge is always new and exciting. Run one or run them all, it’s something you’ll never forget! The Commanding Officer’s Series is open to the public.
Keiki Tradewind Triathlon

This exciting children’s only triathlon will consist of 2 age divisions: 7 to 10 year olds will start with a 100-meter swim, followed by a 3-mile bike ride and finish with a 0.8 mile run. 11-14 year olds will start with a 200-meter swim, followed by a 6-mile bike ride and finish with a 1.2 mile run, ending at Hangar 101. Come join the Marines and Sailors of MCBH for the Tradewind Triathon! Start your morning with a brisk 500 meter swim in beautiful Kaneohe Bay, followed by a fast paced 11 mile bike ride around the flightline of MCB Hawaii, finishing with a scenic 5K run that ends at Dewey Square. Sunset Flight Line 5K
Friday, September 18 @ 5:30pm, Hangar 102, MCB Hawaii Flight Line
Start your weekend off with a scenic 5K run along the air field of Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Participants will have the rare opportunity to run on the runway in this family friendly event. The race will start and finish across from Hangar 102 and will consist of an evening race offering views of the Ko’olau Mountains and Kaneohe Bay. The race is open to the general public! Base Rules: Participants may need to register vehicles at the MCBH Front Gate (H3 entrance). Drivers may be required to present Driver’s License, vehicle registration, safety check and proof of insurance. Please obey all posted speed limits, and follow guidance. Driving Instructions: Enter MCB Hawaii through the H3 Front Gate. Follow special event signs which will direct you to event location and parking.
