Commanding Officer’s Fitness Series

Throughout the year, 13 races come together to make up the Commanding Officer’s Semper Fit Series. Run along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, up mountainous terrain, and even through swampy waters, the challenge is always new and exciting. Run one or run them all, it’s something you’ll never forget! The Commanding Officer’s Series is open to the public.

Camp Smith Grueler

7:00 am, Saturday, July 21, Camp H.M. Smith, Bordelon Field

Come join the Marines at Camp H.M. Smith for a challenging, scenic 5K. The course will start and finish at Bordelon Field, overlooking a scenic view of Pearl Harbor and incorporating a grueling partial trail run.  This event is open to the general public. Keiki Tradewind Triathlon

6:30 am, Saturday, August 25, Hangar 101 MCB Kaneohe Bay

This exciting children’s only triathlon will consist of 2 age divisions:  7 to 10 year olds will start with a 100-meter open water swim, followed by a 3-mile bike ride and finish with a 0.8 mile run. The 11-14 year olds will start with a 200-meter open water swim, followed by a 6-mile bike ride and finish with a 1.2 mile run, ending at Hangar 101. Tradewind Triathlon

6:30 am, Sunday, August 26, Hangar 101 MCB Kaneohe Bay

Come join the Marines and Sailors of MCBH for the Tradewind Triathon! Start your morning with a brisk 500 meter open water swim in beautiful Kaneohe Bay, followed by a fast paced 11 mile bike ride, finishing with a scenic 5K run that ends at Dewey Square.  This race is open to the general public. Base Rules: Participants may need to register vehicles at the MCBH Front Gate (H3 entrance). Drivers may be required to present Driver’s License, vehicle registration, safety check and proof of   insurance. Please obey all posted speed limits, and follow guidance. Driving Instructions: Enter MCB Hawaii through the H3 Front Gate. Follow special event signs which will direct you to event location and parking.
