Commanding Officer’s Fitness Series

Throughout the year, 13 races come together to make up the Commanding Officer’s Semper Fit Series. Run along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, up mountainous terrain, and even through swampy waters, the challenge is always new and exciting. Run one or run them all, it’s something you’ll never forget! The Commanding Officer’s Series is open to the public.

Saturday, February 6, 2016 @ 7am, MCB Hawaii Boondocker LZ / O’ Course Field, Kaneohe Bay
Hawaii’s dirtiest race of the year is back at MCB Hawaii and better than ever!!! This year you may register as an individual or as a team of 5-6 members (must finish with no less than 5 team members). Register yourself or get your team ready for an exciting obstacle run through the mud and dirt  aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay. This unique run takes teams through the Nu’upia ponds and over/under obstacles that challenge the strongest of competitors. This event is open to the public. 2016BAdvRaceLogoBackcountry Adventure Race

Saturday, March 19 @ 8am, Marine Corps Training Area at Bellows AFB, 220 Tinker Road (Follow special event signs in Waimanalo)

Join Marine Corps Community Services in kicking off the first ever off site BACKCOUNTRY ADVENTURE RACE of the 2016 Commanding Officer’s Semper Fit Race Series. This adventurous event will start and finish at the MARINE CORPS TRAINING AREA at BELLOWS AFB, WAIMANALO, HI. The run course is 5 miles in distance with 6 “circuit stations” throughout to test your strength and endurance. Circuit stations will include Sand Bag Farmer’s Carry, Burpees, Smurf Jacks and other body weight exercises. Compete as an individual or as a 4 person team. The race is open to the public. All participants will receive a participation medal. Online registration closes March 15. Base Rules: Participants may need to register vehicles at the MCBH Front Gate (H3 entrance). Drivers may be required to present Driver’s License, vehicle registration, safety check and proof of   insurance. Please obey all posted speed limits, and follow guidance. Driving Instructions: Enter MCB Hawaii through the H3 Front Gate. Follow special event signs which will direct you to event location and parking.
