Family Care and Readiness

We have limited services currently available. Most are providing information via phone or by appointment. It is best to call the facility if you need their assistance.

Our childcare services are limited at this time.

  • Child and Youth Programs
    Child and Youth Programs provide part-day and full-day child care, and education for children six weeks through twelve years of age. Vacancies are filled by Resource and Referral from the waiting list which varies in length by age and program. Families must register on the for placement. The Resource and Referral Office will contact the family when there is an opening for their child[ren]. For additional information, contact Resource and Referral at 808-257-7430.
  • Child Development Centers
    Kupulau Child Development Center: Currently open to support mission essential personnel and school-age care services Mon-Fri 0600-1800. In order to open in a cautious and orderly way, we will be opening in steps. The following changes are scheduled:

    • We will open Laulima and Kupulau CDCs to all Infants and Pre-Schoolers enrolled effective 1 June.
    • We will open both CDCs to all Pre-Toddlers and Toddlers enrolled effective 8 June.
    • We will open Kulia SAC to all children enrolled effective 1 June.
    • Cloth face are covering required (exception for children 2 and under).
    • Please keep the recommended social distancing.
  • Family Child Care
    Family Child Care (FCC) programs provide child care in housing owned or leased by the government and under the control of the installation commander. If you have questions about becoming an FCC provider, please call 808-257-7430.

School Liaison
We are here to support and facilitate school transitions for families with school-age children. If you have questions related to the Hawaii Department of Education, Private Schools, and or Home Schooling, please feel free to contact the School Liaison at 808-257-2019, Mon-Fri 0800-1600.

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
To learn more about family support services or schedule a teleconference with EFMP staff, call 808-257-0290 or email Us. Our operating hours are Mon-Fri 0730-1630.

EFMP Reimbursement Process
EFMP has an Enrollment Reimbursement Process should you be charged for the completion of the DD Form 2792. If this occurs, please contact your EFMP representative at 257-0290.

Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB)
LifeSkills, Family Readiness, Readiness & Deployment and Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge & Skills (L.I.N.K.S.) classes are available upon request. Classes can be held virtually via Facebook, Skype or FaceTime, or in-person if limited to ten people or less. Call 808-257-2657 for information.

Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS)
FOCUS helps active duty Service Members and their families develop a shared understanding of how to stay strong and supportive of each other during stressful times.

These services are available via the virtual TeleFOCUS program, allowing families and couples to meet with a provider through video teleconference. For assistance, please call 257-7774 or email Hawaii Focus Project.
