Community Counseling Program (CCP)

The Community Counseling Program is available to provide individual, couples, children, and family counseling for Marines, Sailors attached to Marine Units, Marine retirees and their intimate partner/families. Licensed and experienced counselors are here to assist with the challenges that can affect your emotional well being, relationships, family life and military readiness. Services are confidential, within the limits of the law, and counseling records are not kept permanently or part of our medical record. The Community Counselors can assist on a range of topics including but not limited to:
• Relationships and marital issues
• Family conflicts
• Stress management
• Parenting strategies
• Parent and teen communication
• Separation
• Divorce
• Grief and loss
• Life changes and transitions
• Care management

What to expect from a counseling session:
• Review the problem
• Identify key target issues
• In a short period of time gain insight into solutions
• Set clear, understandable and realistic goals
• Develop a specific plan to obtain your goals which may include:
• Enhancing interpersonal communication skills
• Learning stress management techniques
• Improving relationship skills
