The calendar below contains events, classes and retail information for Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay including Camp Smith and Manana locations. You can search using the filters button to drill down to only the information you want to see or get a glance of everything that’s happening in the next several days base-wide by not using any filters. If you see an “X” next to the Categories button, you have to click on the “X” to clear the filter and see everything else. This class will ensure Marines receive basic personal financial education within 90 days of arrival at their first permanent duty station. Topics include introduction to Personal & Professional Development, income overview (MyPay & LES), savings and investing, living expenses (wants vs. needs), legal rights and consumer awareness, and SMART goals. Sailors are welcome to attend.

This class will follow the New Arrivals Orientation at the Klipper Golf Course Ballroom.

Corporals for Financial Fitness (CFF) @ Bldg 220

The CFF is a trained Corporal who will provide peer- to-peer influence to fellow Marines. They will support the PFMP staff and CFS by performing outreach to target Marines E1-E4 to increase the awareness of the authorized services and programs available to young Marines, and why financial fitness is part of mission readiness. The CFF will not provide financial counseling or training. Candidates must meet required criteria and be designated by Command. This two-day training meets from 0800-1530 each day. Open to Active Duty only.

Intro to Investing @ Bldg 220

This class will touch on the level of risk and potential return for various investment options, relate the market indexes to investment performance, identify where to locate appropriate, trustworthy investing products, and explain the importance of monitoring fees on your investments.

Intro to Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)/Managing Your TSP Account @ Bldg 220
Jul 7 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

This class will explain the difference between the various Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) Funds and help you identify appropriate Fund(s) for TSP allocations based on your risk tolerance.
